Operation Cookie Monster

International law enforcement agencies yesterday seized a dark web marketplace called Genesis Market in a multinational takedown dubbed “Operation Cookie Monster.”

Genesis Market has been active since 2017 as an online marketplace that sells stolen credentials and digital browser fingerprints gathered from compromised systems. These fingerprints enabled hackers to impersonate victims’ web browsers to access their online banking and subscription services, such as Amazon and Netflix, without needing victims’ passwords or authentication tokens. Per investigators, Genesis sold 80M sets of identifying information stolen from more than 2M people.

FBI officials called the takedown “the biggest operation of its kind” and said the agency was able to identify approximately 59K users of the marketplace by obtaining its computer systems. Operation Cookie Monster led to the arrest of nearly 120 suspected users and involved law enforcement officials from 17 countries, including the U.S., the U.K., Germany, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and others.

Masters kicks off

The Masters Tournament, the first major of the 2023 PGA Tour season, will kick off for the 87th time today at the Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia.

The tournament will conclude Sunday, April 9th, with the champion receiving the green jacket that has been associated with the Masters since 1937. American Scottie Scheffler–who took home the trophy last year–will look to be the tournament’s first consecutive champion since Tiger Woods in 2001 and 2002. In Masters history, only three golfers–Woods, Nick Faldo (1989 and 1990), and Jack Nicklaus (1965 and 1966)–have successfully defended their title from the previous year.

Scottie Scheffler is the betting favorite for this year’s tournament, followed by Rory McIlroy, Jon Rahm, and Tony Finau. Jack Nicklaus has taken home more Masters trophies than any other golfer, with six titles to his name. Tiger Woods has the second-most, with five.

Tech entrepreneur stabbed

Bob Lee, the creator of Cash App and a former executive of Square, lost his life at age 43 after a stabbing in San Francisco earlier this week, per multiple reports.

Per police reports, the incident occurred around 2:35 AM on Tuesday morning in the 300 block of Main Street. After arriving at the scene, officers took Lee to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Lee’s death was confirmed by Josh Goldbard, the CEO of MobileCoin, where Lee was currently working as chief product officer. No arrest has been made as of last night and San Francisco police haven’t released any suspect details.

According to police data, there have been 12 reports of homicides in San Francisco this year, an uptick of 20% compared to the same time period in 2022. There were 56 reported homicides in San Francisco last year, which is the same number of homicides the city saw in 2021.

Stop ignoring 25% of your bones

What has 33 joints, 26 bones, and helps you get around? It’s not a riddle – it’s the human foot!

Most everyone is wearing shoes that do no favors for the human body. Why? They crunch your toes and restrict all the muscles in your feet, which require feedback from the ground.

Nature connected these feet sensors to your brain for a reason.

Xero Shoes have a wide ‘toe box’ so your toes can spread and relax. And without elevating your heel, you won’t meddle with your true posture. Get shoes designed to move naturally, while providing the protection, support, and comfort you desire. Xero Shoes are even backed by a 5K mile sole warranty!

Happy Feet is more than a movie!

Magnesium oxide is not good for increasing overall magnesium levels. Plus, it won’t do a thing to reduce your anxiety — which is a big reason many of us are taking magnesium.

Worse, magnesium oxide has a laxative effect, which might send you running for the bathroom, and you may be wasting your money.

Glycinate and Citrate aren’t bad, but if you truly want to experience the benefits of magnesium – including more energy and less anxiety…

You need a full spectrum supplement like BiOptimizer’s Magnesium Breakthrough – the world’s most comprehensive array of 7 forms, so you get the results you’re after.
