Good morning, and happy Wednesday! We may be in the middle of Dry January, when some choose to forgo alcohol for the month…but did you know that alcohol may have led to human civilization? One philosopher argues that the desire to obtain alcohol drove our ancestors to develop agriculture, and thus, society as we know it was born. Whether you drink or not, it’s an interesting theory! Top TipsChinese population declineChina reported its first population decline in more than 60 years, with the national birth rate hitting a record low in 2022. During a briefing on annual data, China’s National Bureau of Statistics announced that the country’s population fell last year to 1.411B people, down around 850K people from 2021. Analysts said the decline was the first since 1961 during the famine brought on by former leader Mao Zedong’s Great Leap Forward. The bureau also added that the nation’s birth rate in 2022 sat at 6.77 births per 1K people. Conversely, China logged its highest death rate since 1976, at 7.37 deaths per 1K people–up from 7.18 the previous year. Since 1979, the country’s population trends have been shaped in part by the one-child policy, which was introduced to slow population growth. The policy was scrapped in 2016 and married couples were allowed to have two children. |

President of Vietnam resignsVietnam’s President Nguyen Xuan Phuc submitted his resignation yesterday after the ruling Communist Party found him responsible for violations and wrongdoing of numerous officials under him, according to the state Vietnam News Agency. Phuc, 68, began serving at the country’s provincial level in 1979 and assumed his first national government position in 2006. He was prime minister from 2016 until 2021, when Vietnam’s National Assembly elected him president. The announcement of his resignation comes after weeks of speculation that Phuc would leave his post and follows the departure of two deputy prime ministers who served under him. The president of Vietnam is considered one of the “four pillars” that helm the country’s political system. The Communist Party's general secretary is considered the most powerful of the four pillars, with the president next in line in terms of authority. The other two pillars are the prime minister and the chairman of the National Assembly. |

Ancient Mayan highways discoveredA recent survey revealed almost 1K ancient Mayan settlements linked by the world’s first network of highways dating back to almost 300 BC. Aerial surveys were carried out by a team within Guatemala’s FARES anthropological research foundation, and the findings were first published in the journal Ancient Mesoamerica. Per the study, the researchers used LiDAR technology, which emits light pulses from airplanes to the earth and allows researchers to map structures beneath vegetation. Over 100 miles of roadways have been revealed so far, with some measuring around 130 feet wide and elevated off the ground by as much as 16 feet in some sections, according to the researchers. The area covers 650 square miles across the Mirador-Calakmul Karst Basin region, near Guatemala’s northern border with Mexico. In addition to reservoirs, canals, and the remains of pyramids, the findings also include 417 previously-unknown cities that were hidden for millennia by jungle vegetation. |

93% of Americans tested had glyphosate lurking in their bodies. In 1992, a team at John’s Hopkins School of Medicine discovered a ‘super molecule’ which can help protect us from the ravages of glyphosate (as well as heavy metals and other pollutants). It’s called Sulforaphane (SFN), and it’s found inside the cells of cruciferous vegetables like broccoli. Since its discovery, it’s been shown to guard human cells from glyphosate. Broccoli sprouts have the highest amount of SFN in nature, but you’d still need an unrealistic supply to get the right dose. BrocElite provides stable SFN in an unparalleled concentration for optimal bioavailablity. Tip News readers can save up to 27% on orders of BrocElite today.

Over 2K Studies Can’t Be WrongA compound called Sulforaphane (SFN) is becoming the ‘new kid on the block’ in the supplement world. Over 2K studies show it supports detoxification, a healthy inflammatory response, quicker brain activity, and has anti-aging properties. The one veggie that contains more SFN than any other is nature’s powerhouse, broccoli sprouts – over 100X the SFN of full grown broccoli! The problem is, growing even a huge amount of sprouts at home isn’t adding up to the dose of SFN you want for cellular protection from chemicals like glyphosate. BrocElite provides stable SFN in an unparalleled concentration for optimal bioavailablity. Tip News readers can save up to 27% on orders of BrocElite today.
