Top TipsEngland & EU raise ratesThe European Central Bank (ECB) and Bank of England yesterday both raised interest rates by 50 basis points, or 0.50%. In a press release, the ECB said it “will stay the course in raising interest rates significantly at a steady pace” and that it intends to impose another 0.50% rate hike at its next policy meeting in March. The ECB also added in its statement that it “expects to raise [rates] further” without specifying a timeline. The Bank of England’s rate hike of 50 basis points brings its base rate of interest from 3.5% to 4%, its highest level in 14 years. The move comes one day after the U.S. Federal Reserve hiked rates by 0.25%, marking the smallest increase since the Fed began imposing rate hikes in June of 2022. Recent data shows that year-over-year inflation levels in the EU are expected to be 8.5% in January compared to 9.2% in December. |

Mafia pizza chef capturedAn Italian man with mafia ties who has been on the run since 2006 after being convicted of murder has been caught and discovered to have been working as a pizza chef in France. Edgardo Greco, 63, was part of the ‘Ndrangheta organized crime syndicate that originated from southern Italy’s Calabria region in the early 1990s. He was convicted in absentia for the murders of brothers Stefano and Giuseppe Bartolomeo, who were of a rival gang and were believed to have been beaten to death in January 1991. Their bodies were never found. Greco’s capture is the second mafia arrest by Italian authorities in two weeks. On January 16th, authorities arrested Messina Denaro–an alleged boss of the Cosa Nostra Mafia–in Sicily after 30 years of being on the run. Unlike Denaro, who admitted his name when he was approached, Greco denied his identity and was reportedly taken forcibly into custody. |

Who says getting a C is average? To support healthy aging, skin elasticity, and hair & nail appearance, we need to maintain adequate nutrition. Sadly, modern agriculture has led to severely decreased levels of key nutrients like Vitamin C being available in the soil...and ultimately available in our food. Supplementing Vit C is great, but most common store-bought forms are not properly utilized by the body, and they pass right through our systems. If you want superb bioavailability, Purality Health uses “liposomal” technology – which is a fancy way of saying your Vit C will actually be delivered to your bloodstream, and won't be a waste of money. Support your overall health and take up to 25% off your first order.
