Biden visits Kyiv

U.S. President Biden visited Kyiv unannounced yesterday for the first time since Russia invaded the country last year.

Biden met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at Mariinsky Palace to announce an additional $500M in U.S. assistance. The new aid package reportedly includes shells for howitzers, anti-tank missiles, air surveillance radars, and other aid but no new advanced weaponry. Delivering remarks at the palace after their meeting, Biden said, “One year later, Kyiv stands. And Ukraine stands. Democracy stands. The Americans stand with you, and the world stands with you.”

President Biden’s visit to Kyiv comes the same week as the one-year mark of Russia’s invasion (February 24th). In the days before Biden’s visit, Vice President Kamala Harris announced that the U.S. had formally determined that Russia has committed crimes against humanity during its ongoing war in Ukraine.

Another Mideast earthquake

A magnitude 6.4 earthquake struck southern Turkey yesterday, two weeks after a pair of earthquakes hit the same region.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the earthquake struck at a depth of 6.2 miles, with shocks felt in Syria, Jordan, Israel, and Egypt. The quake was followed by a second tremor with a magnitude of 5.8, which was centered in the Samandag district in the country’s Hatay province. Hours before the first quake, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said on a visit to Turkey that the U.S. would aid recovery efforts “for as long as it takes.” Per the State Department, the U.S. has provided $185M in humanitarian assistance.

February 6th’s magnitude 7.8 and 7.6 earthquakes have left over 46K people dead between Turkey and Syria. An estimated 385K apartments took critical damage or were destroyed, and over 1M people have been rendered homeless.

Rewriting Roald Dahl books

British author Roald Dahl’s children’s books are being altered to remove language deemed offensive.

The changes were reportedly carried out by a sensitivity organization for children’s books called Inclusive Minds and were approved by Dahl’s estate and the books’ publisher, Puffin Books. In a statement, Puffin said that changes were made to ensure that Dahl’s books “can continue to be enjoyed by all today.” Edits include changes to descriptions of characters’ physical appearances, including references to weight, gender, and race. For instance, the character of Augustus Gloop in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is now described as “enormous,” and Mrs. Twit in The Twits is described as “beastly” versus the original description, “ugly and beastly.”

Changes to Dahl’s works have sparked debates around censorship, with U.K. Prime Minister Rishi Sunak’s official spokesperson saying “works of fiction should be preserved and not airbrushed,” and novelist Salman Rushdie labeling the changes as “absurd censorship.”

Depleted soil means depleted health

Modern agriculture has depleted minerals in our soils…and we suffer as a result.

In the peer-reviewed journal, The Crop Journal, researchers explained how often magnesium is overlooked in plants. They point out how roughly two-thirds of people are deficient in this critical nutrient.

But the bio-availability depends on the form you choose.

Most magnesium supplements are Mg Oxide, Mg Glycinate, or Mg Citrate...but they’ll never provide you with all the benefits of magnesium on their own. You need the most powerful, full-spectrum supplement with high-quality sources.

Magnesium Breakthrough from BiOptimizers contains not one, but seven high-quality forms of magnesium so you can experience its calming, energy-boosting effects.

Here's how you get all seven forms of magnesium to boost energy and defeat stress, anxiety, and burnout. Tip News readers enjoy up to 42% off today!

If you take a magnesium supplement, it will probably be one or two of these forms:

  • Magnesium Oxide
  • Magnesium Glycinate
  • Magnesium Citrate

The thing is, Magnesium Oxide isn’t good for increasing overall magnesium levels…and its unwanted laxative effect might send you running for the bathroom.

Glycinate and Citrate aren’t bad, but if you truly want to experience the full benefits of magnesium, including more energy and less anxiety, you need a full-spectrum supplement like BiOptimizer’s Magnesium Breakthrough.

Take up to 42% off the world’s most comprehensive array of seven forms of magnesium, so you can get the results you’re after.
